Join colleagues from across the airports sector as we celebrate the work being done all year round to enhance safety, prevent incidents and support well-being.
Airports Health & Safety Week is a sector-led initiative that reinforces critical safety behaviours, regulatory compliance and a well-being culture for both passengers and staff.
Across the whole week, airports all over the country will be holding talks, hosting groups from inside and outside, providing training and renewing processes to show just how seriously we take health & safety.
Every year, Airports Health & Safety Week focusses on three themes and 2025 is no different, with activities on:
1. Ground movements – reducing risks associated with ground handling, aircraft movements and vehicle operations;
2. Slips, trips and falls in passenger areas – raising awareness of hazards across terminals, walkways, escalators, aprons and boarding bridges;
3. Reducing stress – improving wellbeing and mental health of passengers and staff by reducing travel and workplace stress.
Then, at a ceremony to be held at the AirportsUK offices in central London on 2 October, we will be hosting the AirportsUK Health & Safety Awards, recognising some of the most innovative and impactful events and activities held during the week.
More information can be found in our one-pager or in the airports information pack, which also includes more details on how to enter the awards.
So start thinking now about how you can demonstrate how you are enhancing safety, preventing incidents and supporting well-being and who knows? Maybe we will see you at the awards in October.
Good luck!
