Andy Cliffe

Chief Executive Officer

Andy Cliffe was appointed CEO of London City Airport in February 2026. He is an Operating Partner at Macquarie Asset Management and joined the Board of LCY following its acquisition by Macquarie in October 2024. He also sits on the Board of Birmingham Airport.A qualified accountant, Andy started his career in the National Health Service before moving into commercial real estate in London and then to East Midlands Airport (EMA), part of National Express Group – a major listed transport group. Following the acquisition of EMA by Manchester Airport Group (MAG), Andy held a number of senior strategy, commercial and operational roles across MAG including MD of the Group’s asset portfolio, MD of East Midlands and Bournemouth Airports and he played a key role in the Group’s partial sale in the private markets and the subsequent acquisition of Stansted Airport. Andy’s other roles in MAG include leading the Group’s real estate portfolio, from where he led the Group’s AirportCity venture, and oversight of the Group’s US business.Following MAG, Andy led a turnaround of Midland Expressway (M6Toll) as CEO. Prior to joining Macquarie as an OP, Andy was the Group CEO of the Macquarie portfolio company AGS airports (Aberdeen, Glasgow, Southampton) until 2025.
