Book your place now for the AirportsUK Annual Conference 2025, which will be held at Church House, Westminster, SW1P 3NZ (map). Registrations will begin from 9.00am, with the main conference starting at 9.30am on Tuesday 09 December, concluding at 5.30pm. There will then follow a drinks reception, where conversations and debates can continue, and we can celebrate all that the aviation industry, and airports in particular, have achieved this year.
We are delighted that the Secretary of State for Transport, Rt Hon Heidi Alexander MP, will kick the conference off with her thoughts on airports’ place in the government’s growth agenda. Later in the day, we will also be joined by Lord Michael Gove, former cabinet minister and current editor of the Spectator, who will provide a witty and insightful look at where we are in the broader political landscape.
This year’s conference is being sponsored by facilities management and services provider Mitie, and air transport communications and information technology company SITA, will be the headline sponsors. Both companies are key partners working across airport operations and world leaders in their areas, so we are incredibly grateful for their support.
Elsewhere, this year’s conference agenda will bring together senior government officials, high level airport leaders, leading regulators and airlines, as well as other representatives from across aviation to discuss the major challenges and opportunities as we face an increasingly uncertain world.
Topics for discussion during the day will include:
- Competitiveness of UK airports
- The industry outlook
- A seamless passenger journey
- Views from across Westminster
- The airline perspective
The full agenda is being finalised, so keep checking back here to make sure you are the first to know how the day is looking.
The UK aviation sector is world-leading, with our cities some of the best connected in the world, our population able to travel to destinations all over the world, and business able to take advantage of markets and supply chains that help them be some of the most competitive.
How the sector can continue to innovate and develop as new challenges and opportunities emerge, to ensure we remain at the forefront, to deliver economic growth and give passengers a seamless journey through the airport and beyond will be the big challenge of the next ten years.
This conference presents an unmissable opportunity for practitioners from across the sector to look out over the horizon and see what issues we will need to be addressing in the future.
