Operations managers and directors from our member airports come together with specialist stakeholders in the Aerodrome Safety & Compliance working group to facilitate and actively promote technical knowledge & best practice sharing to achieve the highest levels of safety and compliance in a consistent manner across aerodromes.

The group coordinates consultations and open communications with aerodromes and regulatory bodies to ensure safe working practices, supported by robust reporting methods, are met in all relevant operational business units.

The group’s discussions range from runway safety and aerodrome audits to ensuring smooth winter operations across the UK’s airports, studying emerging and existing safety risks and identifying potential solutions to mitigate the operational impact, and managing the implementation of regulatory developments and requirements.
