SUMMARY:Airspace & Air Traffic Services  (AATS) (AAIB visit)
DESCRIPTION:The Airspace and Air Traffic Services Working Group (AATS) was formed when the UK’s Airspace Modernisation Strategy was first published\, and seeks to ensure best practice sharing on a number of issues in the air traffic industry. \nThe group takes the lead on a range of topics from the changing regulatory landscape of ATS\, ranging from Airspace Modernisation to ATCO apprentices. \nAdditionally\, membership aims to support ANSPs on emerging challenges such as CV19 and ATC restart and recovery. \nThis dynamic group is particularly interested in sharing best practice and knowledge whilst ensuring that all ANSPs are represented appropriately; via AOA we lobby and work closely with CAA and other relevant industry bodies to influence regulatory reform and implementation. \nFor more information\, please email info@airportsuk.org.

DESCRIPTION:Operations managers and directors from our member airports come together with specialist stakeholders in the Aerodrome Safety & Compliance working group to facilitate and actively promote technical knowledge & best practice sharing to achieve the highest levels of safety and compliance in a consistent manner across aerodromes. \nThe group coordinates consultations and open communications with aerodromes and regulatory bodies to ensure safe working practices\, supported by robust reporting methods\, are met in all relevant operational business units. \nThe group’s discussions range from runway safety and aerodrome audits to ensuring smooth winter operations across the UK’s airports\, studying emerging and existing safety risks and identifying potential solutions to mitigate the operational impact\, and managing the implementation of regulatory developments and requirements. \nFor more information\, please email info@airportsuk.org.
